Departments & Programmes
Currently, the Faculty runs the Bachelors of Sciences degree programmes in the following areas;
- Plant Science and Biotechnology [B.Sc.]
- Microbiology [B.Sc.]
- Biochemistry [B.Sc.]
- Industrial Chemistry [B.Sc.]
- Computer Science [B.Sc.]
- Mathematics & Statistics [B.Sc.]
- Physics with Electronics [B.Sc.]
- Physics [B.Sc.]
As a guiding principle, the academic and extra-curricula programmes of the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences are specifically designed to align with Hezekiah University motto (Academic Excellence With Good Morals ).
Academic Programmes are structured not only to meet NUC’s academic bench marks but also to highlight our self-reliance drive. The curricula of the programmes are therefore specially designed to include aspects of entrepreneurial and ICT skills. Also laboratory practicals, industrial attachment/apprenticeship and field work shall be prioritized in all disciplines. To achieve functional education in the Sciences knowledge drive shall be supported with skills and competence.
Faculty’s ultimate goal is to produce well-groomed middle and high level man power not only for the various sectors of the Nigerian economy but also adequately equipped for opportunities in the global arena.
Dean’s Welcome Note
The department of Applied Science at Hezekiah University is aimed at providing its students with not only a broad understanding of a variety of scientific principles but also the skill to apply their knowledge to solve simple and complex problems and provide solutions to a variety of situations – vital skills sought by employers and therefore a particular advantage when entering the workforce.
