The Hezekiah University Library is the center of academic excellence and a beehive of research and learning activities in the university. The take-off Library is a modest storey building facility holding nearly five thousand volumes of relevant books and journals in all disciplines currently offered in the University. The library is well funded and as much as 10% of annual university recurrent expenditure is committed to its growth. The Library handles all book matters of the university including the procurement, storage, registration of users, lending and collection services. The library is headed by a qualified and competent University Librarian who is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day to day operations of the library.
It is anticipated that with time, Faculty and Departmental libraries shall be established and will be headed by senior librarians with requisite subject matter knowledge pertinent to the preponderant academic disciplines of the Faculties and Departments in addition to adequate training and experience in library administration.
The Library is fully digitized with electronic cataloging and e-library platform hosting international and local resources. The library shall also in the course of time establish linkage arrangements with other universities, government agencies and publishing companies with a view to exchanging books and non-book materials for the university community. The main University Library when fully developed is expected to have a holding capacity of 1,500,000 volumes of books and about 3,000 periodical titles.
